It was the mid year of 1930. Florida was amidst the Great Depression after the securities exchange crash of 1929. Mr George was a committed director at the Piggly Wiggly store in Winter Haven, Florida, which had been offered to another proprietor. Mr George felt constrained to meet the new proprietor to share his inventive thoughts.
In the fierceness of the late spring in a vehicle without cooling, Mr. George headed to Atlanta on state streets, not cleared all of the time. Tragically, the new proprietor declined to meet with Mr. George, asserting he was restricted in a significant business gathering.
Along the commute home, Mr. George’s sensations of disillusionment changed into a dream for another organization where correspondence was supported among workers and chiefs. He longed for establishing a workplace where partners would feel regarded and their perspectives esteemed.
