About Brookshires
Brookshires Pharmacy is a Tyler, Texas-based grocery store chain. There are in excess of 180 stores working in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma under their five pennants, Brookshire’s, Super 1 Foods, Fresh by Brookshire’s, Spring Market, and Reasors.
The organization was established in 1928 by Wood T. also, Louise Brookshire when they opened their initial 25 x 100-foot (30 m) store on Tyler’s midtown square. Brookshire’s was initially essential for the Brookshire Brothers chain, which was established seven years sooner in Lufkin, Texas.
The organizations split in 1939 when Wood T. Brookshire assumed command over the Tyler-region stores in return for his portion in the Brookshire Brothers partnership. The organizations are not generally related besides by name.
The organization opened a few Super 1 Foods stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth region in the last part of the 1990s and mid 2000s, some of which were swaps for neighboring Brookshire’s areas.
The organization sold all metro region stores to (presently old) Fleming, which re-marked them as Rainbow Foods. All Rainbow stores were shut when Fleming left business.
