Cashmere Valley Bank was set up September 24, 1932 by two siblings, Hy W. Rieke and H.H. Rieke, who moved to Cashmere in the wake of selling their premium in one more bank in Odessa, Washington. Cashmere was picked as the site to start their new bank in light of the fact that the local area was without a monetary organization after the disappointment of two banks during the start of the Great Depression.
From the mid 1970s to the mid 1990s, Cashmere Valley Bank opened 5 new branches to serve the Wenatchee, Leavenworth and East Wenatchee people groups.
Today, Cashmere Valley Bank has developed to remember branches for Ellensburg, Cle Elum, Chelan and Yakima with a Municipal Banking office in Bellevue.
